Make Your Subconscious Work For You

The subconscious part of your mind is your slave; it is at your beck and call 24 hours a day, every single day of your life. Right from the moment of birth, your subconscious has been at work. Even when you are asleep, the subconscious works ceaselessly. All your bodily functions right from the beating of your heart to your breathing is taken care of by your subconscious. It keeps you alive. The subconscious stores every bit of information you send it's way, processing several thousands of these every second. When you require a certain piece of information out of the blue, it is the subconscious that gives it to you immediately. When you are looking for a solution to a problem, it is once again the amazing power of the subconscious that provides it for you.
The Dance Of The Mind:
If you have ever watched a man and woman waltz, you will understand the dance of the mind. The dance is slow and graceful. One movement leads gently into the next. The movements of both the man and the woman are synchronized and flow gracefully right through; there is perfect harmony. So it is with the mind. The conscious and the subconscious levels of the mind are like the man and woman who are waltzing. They are in perfect harmony with each other. When this happens, happiness, health and wealth prevail. The conscious and the subconscious must work together, hand in hand; side by side.
We are aware of the principle of action and reaction which states that where there is an action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. This is also the case of the two parts of the mind. What the conscious mind thinks, interprets and suggests to the subconscious mind must be acted upon by it with equal force. However, if, for some reason, the subconscious mind is unable to do so, the delicate balance of the two levels of the mind is disturbed, thus causing frustration.
All desires must be fulfilled and therefore must be realistic. Asking your subconscious to help you become an astronaut in a month is not going to get you anywhere. This is an example of unequal balance where the input (the request made) and the output (the request granted) do not coincide with each other. There is no harmony and no balance.
The same is the case when you consciously think negative thoughts. The thoughts get buried in the subconscious and need to find an outlet. They must be done. When they are not done, frustration, worry and anger and all the negative thoughts that you thought of, get manifested in the form of diseases such as heartburn, ulcers and cancer in the body.
In order to get your subconscious to work for you, it has to work in harmony with your conscious.
Do not worry about your subconscious. Control your conscious, and your subconscious will be taken care of. You must control what you think and what you want. You must make a conscious effort to block out all negativity and concentrate on positive thoughts always.

Three Ways to Believe in the Wealth of Your Story

When you think about it, outer wealth is inextrictably connected to what happens inside of ourselves. When we feel scared, insecure or intimated by thoughts or the future, our attention rapidly shifts to outcomes instead of focusing on the present moment when all pleasant possibilities can happen. So many people in the world today put their faith and energy on the outcome of making money and even more money. But the real meaning of money is triggered and valued when you can recognize the true inner meaning of what Deepak Chopra refers to as "wealth consciousness."
Take for example, the feelings and experiences you are carrying right now at this present moment. Each new experience provides the seeds for a new "story." The possibilities for expressing this story are limitless. All we need is a sense of compassion and trust in ourselves and others. When we make decisions based on fear, doubt and uncertainty, we hide and tuck those feelings away because we aren't so sure what to do with them. But yet, those are the feelings that can also bring your greatest transformation.
Expressing these 'story seeds' during life's darkest moments can bring forth new possibilities in terms of nurturing your inner wealth. All we need is a sense of faith in our present moment. To materialize that inherent wealth of yourself in your story, use these tips as a guide:
  1. Visualize your story touching the hearts of many. Chances are, what you are experiencing goes far deeper than what you ever imagined. Most likely there's a tribe waiting for you to take your story to higher heights. Give those members of your tribe guidance and hope that what they are experience will too, "come to pass." Consider keeping a journal to record your thoughts and reconnect to your moment of connection to yourself.

  2. Keep the faith in your own journey. Faith that is powerful endures! Even when you feel like giving up, continue to believe in those "story" moments because they are all that you have. You don't need a super-hero story or a "kick-ass" story to recognize that you have the power to be spiritually and physically wealthy. Be your own catalyst for change!

  3. Give voice to your story. As Deepak Chopra says, "we are social creatures, who thrive in community. Connecting with one another allows us to express our most heartfelt hopes and dreams and be of service to one another." By giving voice to your stories either online through social media networks or in front of a crowd, you automatically invite that sense of connection. There is a saying that people need stories more than food. Another way to look as your story as "wealthy" is to constantly remember how many people you have touched with your stories, not only by how many books or stories you sold. I build my confidence by rereading testimonials people have written to me over the years on how my writing touched their hearts. Immediately, I am renewed with a sense of purpose and connection.
So there you have it, the three tips to building wealth consciousness by believing in the power of your story.
Believe in the power of your story!

Why You Won't Always Achieve Your Goals And Why That Is A Good Thing

No-one can guarantee that if you follow all the steps for setting and achieving goals that you will always achieve them. To have you believe so is dishonest. There are some goals that you really want with all your heart that you may never achieve. Why?
Reasons Why You Won't Achieve Some Goals
There are lots of reasons why people I have worked with have not achieved their goals, but these are the most common:
  • It wasn't aligned with your values, so your heart wasn't really in it. In this case you would have struggled right from the start to find the energy and the motivation required to be successful with this goal.

  • On your way to achieving your goal you became a different person and the original goal was no longer appropriate for the person you are now.

  • If you have a lot invested in achieving the goal, you might find that your fear of not getting it is receiving more energy than achieving the goal. What we focus upon in our lives is what we tend to attract into our lives. Where you have a lot of emotion attached to a goal, you may find that what you attract into your life is more of that emotion rather than the outcome you are seeking. This is because the greatest portion of your focus is upon the emotion (usually fear that you won't achieve your goal) rather than upon the goal itself. If this happens, remove the emotional attachment to the outcome by sitting and planning for the girl and then in a non-emotional way follow the steps to achieve it. You must believe that you have done and are doing all you can to achieve the goal and know that worrying will just hold it back.

  • When you think things are not going your way, let go of your idea of how they should go. You may be surprised at the unusual ways in which your desires are ultimately fulfilled. Sometimes we try to force goals to be achieved in timelines that are too tight for us. It can take a while to build this foundation for some goals. Be kind to yourself during this period.

  • It would not serve you to achieve the goal. Sometimes your greatest gifts may come from unanswered desires. I remember having my heart broken as a teenager when my boyfriend started going out with someone else. Every night I prayed and focused upon us staying together, but it didn't happen. It wasn't until years later I realized that if our relationship had succeeded, I wouldn't have become the person that I am. In the failure of one of my greatest desires lay the possibility for me to become something else.

  • Something even better is coming or has come to you instead.

  • You are attempting to consciously overcome an unconscious habit. In this case you will need to examine what you do at an unconscious level so you have an awareness of the steps you will need to take to combat the 'trigger' that is giving rise to the habit.

  • You have been practicing procrastination. Many of us do. The best way to overcome procrastination is to focus upon the outcome and the benefits you will receive from it and then take action.

  • Your fear (usually of failing) is so great that you don't take the necessary steps to achieve your goal. The only way to overcome fear is to meet it head on and move through it. If you don't, then the fear wins and your inactivity guarantees your failure.
In Summary
There are some goals it is best we never achieve as it would not be in our best interests to do so. For those ones, we smile and move on with our lives. There are other goals where we are using unhelpful strategies in our attempt to achieve them. We can be successful with these goals if we change our strategies.

Don't Wait For Your Ship To Come In - Swim Out And Meet It!

Growing up in a single-parent household, and one with little resources, it was a common refrain from Mom upon all requests from my sister and me for anything extra, "Wait until my ship comes in." Maybe you heard that as your grew up or perhaps you say it to your own children today.
If I asked for those white, high top, Chuck Taylor basketball shoes, or just shoes that didn't have a hole in the sole, the answer was always, wait until my ship comes in. My sister and I are pretty sure that the ship was sunk off the coast of Jacksonville Beach and was never seen again.
As working professionals, we catch ourselves thinking, if not saying, things will be better if only my ship comes in, or I win the lottery, or a rich relative gets promoted to the church triumphant, or... you get the picture. We pass on that attitude to our family, co-workers and friends. It becomes a deeply entrenched; however, potentially negative way of planning for your future. The feelings that we are downtrodden and there is no way out of the current economic challenges except by some miraculous occurrence that has the same odds as winning the Powerball, or about 17 million to one, is debilitating.
The energy that you expend on unproductive thoughts can be better used. One of life's hard lessons is that you are complicit in your failure. You cannot claim credit for success unless you also own failure. That hurts doesn't it? I know about failure on a grand scale. It's a human characteristic (blunder is more descriptive) to lay the blame for our short comings and failures at the feet of others. I have done that too.
There are lots of valid reasons, excuses, and events beyond our control that contribute to success and failure. There are thousands of books on self improvement, motivation, and anecdotal stories of overcoming both. Here's a little secret... you need to be OCD to be successful in your personal and professional lives.
What's OCD, you ask? Its three keys to success that have been distilled to their simplest meaning and instruction.
Objective: You have to have them or at least one. Call it a mission, call it a vision, what you call it is not important. Why do you do the things you do? For whom?
Commitment: Stick to it, don't give up, and press on. You are accountable for your own success or failure. Nothing changes if nothing changes.
Direction: Taking the right actions, for the right reasons, at the right time, with the right people, produces the right outcomes.
Find whatever it is that you are passionate about and get to it. Each of us has a talent and skill to do something and when you add the desire for that vocation that is in your heart, success will not be denied.
Don't wait on your ship to come in. Swim out to it and climb aboard to greet it.

Setting Life Goals - 3 Tips To Write Effective Plans For Goal Setting

Setting life goals has been one of the most well known secrets of highly effective people, and being able to do that effectively should be one of the skills you ought to aim to master in this life.
So what is the main secret behind setting effective goals for your life? The answer may surprise you, but it's just the simple idea of writing out a plan.
Plans are important in setting life goals because they serve as blueprints, scripts, or as maps. And you know how helpful they can be used as guides, especially if you're lost and just wandering through life aimlessly.
A plan also helps to track your progress in life, and helps you to decide if changes are necessary.
Then again, not everyone knows how to craft up an effective plan when setting life goals. If you're having trouble too, then the following 3 steps would be able to help you.
They are generally regarded as the most basic steps you need to apply when setting life goals, so make sure you have them in check.
Step 1 - Make It Step By Step
Instead of setting your life goals in a messy chunk that has no order, you'll need to plan it in a step by step fashion. That has been regarded by many experts as the best way of setting life goals.
For a start, just write down what you have in mind. Don't even think about edits for now. Write down all that you want to achieve for now.
Also, write them straight to the point. Don't write long statements for now.
Steps 2 - Go Through Your Plan Again.
Step 1 is just the start to help you put everything down on paper without giving much consideration. But from step 2 onwards, you need to take a close look at your plan and constantly ask yourself this question at each step of your plan.
"Will this take me towards my goal, or further away from it"
Don't rush this process. Slowly go through them one by one, and eliminate those that do hinder you from accomplishing your goals. Only keep the necessary ones.
Tip 3 - Expand On Your Important Steps
Chances are, when you're setting life goals, there are steps you put in that can be broken down into sub-steps. And in this step, you'll need to examine all your steps left from step 2 and see if there are any you can expand on.
The reason for this is because small steps give you the clarity of what needs to be done in order to achieve a bigger objective. And if a step proves too big to take, you'll get stuck on your goal.
And once this step is done, what you'll end up with is a great plan that is detailed enough for you to take consistent action towards your life goals. And that's setting life goals effectively in a nutshell.
And if you'd like to learn more tips that can help take your life beyond your wildest dreams after setting life goals, I know just the right resource for you.
It's a resource written by a self made millionaire, and you can find that resource at SuccessSwitch.com. It helped me, and I'm sure it can help you more than just setting life goals, but actually taking them many steps beyond your wildest imagination

Words Create Our Health

What words are shaping your experiences?
I was sitting at my desk around mid-day; my eyes feeling tired. I decided to walk away from the computer and get a drink of water. As I was standing at cooler filling up my jug, I overheard a shocking statement. A woman in another cubicle blurted out: "I'd estimate I have about 15 years left on this earth and that's about it... " I hope my face didn't show my surprise as I finished filling up my water bottle and walked away.
And yes, I had to glance up and see who was doing the talking... just by looking at the woman's outer physique- she did not look that old! Yet, those were her words that came out of her mouth. And she sounded serious. Very, very serious. "I have about fifteen years left and that's about it... "
Our words are powerful things. Our words create our experiences and shape our reality. Have you heard of the saying "Behind every joke there is an underlying truth... "? What comes out of our mouths is our truth. Then our truth becomes our experience.
Behind our words are our thoughts. What we think has the potential to empower or break us down. Think we can do it- we can! Think we cannot- guess what? We are less likely to. While our thoughts are one thing... there is even a stronger space to all of this... our words.
Wishing things, wanting things, thinking about things... they are all possible efforts to make things come true. But actually speaking the words, saying them aloud. Now that is powerful stuff.
I recently went through a six week course called "How to Manifest Anything" with a spiritual teacher. In it we went through the seven steps of manifestation. I recall that a lot of the exercises the teacher had us do were to actually say the words out loud. State our affirmations, speak them. Not just in our minds, but aloud in our voices. Other techniques included having conversations between parts of our "selves" out loud... actually letting each part have a voice to break down blocks.
There is power in our words. So how are you choosing yours? Do you call health and well-being to your life? Or do you say things like "I'm too fat... I'm stupid... I'm ugly... I can't do it... " When it comes to making, setting, and reaching health goals you have to believe you can do so. And you have to state those words aloud: "I can do this... I am beautiful... I am healthy... I reach my goals."
Instead of wishing life away with stating how much time you have left on this planet; how about enjoying every moment and living as if you are a child again? Strive to do this each day you are blessed with on this earth! Enjoy yourself and speak of the health you desire. Bring the lifestyle of wellness, peace, and joy into your everyday experience- just by carefully choosing the words you speak.
How about you? What do you feel about words? Do you notice when you say things aloud- do they come true? When and how might you watch what you speak? What must you shift to speak to yourself in a more loving and nurturing way?

Belief: The Quiet and Unyielding Power Behind Achieving Dreams

Who would you rather work for -- A boss who believed in you or a boss who didn't?
What attitude would you rather have -- Feeling eager for the day to start and believing that your steps bring you closer to [fill in blank]? Or waking up not really interested in what you're doing for the day not believing that what you do really matters to anyone?
How would you like to live your life -- As one who dreams and achieves them, e.g. having a family, losing weight, or new job? Or one who starts to pursue dreams and then doubts, stalls, or turns away when the ups and downs of "life happens"?
No matter your age, title, or economic situation, I've seen people turn their life, careers and relationships around, entirely, by believing! When you believe, not only does your mindset change, the environment around you also changes. Your personal conviction and progress towards your own dreams/goals, can have an enormous impact on other people's attitudes, determination, and fire in their hearts!
Unfortunately I've spoken to quite a few individuals who have quit dreaming about the things they want, because they've tried hard for so long and have given up. "Dreaming is for young people" states a person in his 40's. "My life is comfortable now; no need to upset the apple cart by adding something new." "It's just going to hurt, cost money, or I'll fail." "I may have to give up something I like or am used to, and I don't know if the new thing will be better, so why bother?"
We all have dreams... where are yours? Are they still alive and kickin' or did you bury them someplace? Having belief in your dreams and in your own potential to be successful is SO important for an energized life.
So, what's the secret to belief? Do you just count to 10 and make yourself believe that you're capable?
You have dreams. Imagine it. Imagine your goal. Thriving relationship. Successful product launch. Amazing career promotion. An easy 20 pounds off.
What's the secret to dreaming and believing you can achieve them? You grab on to it AND don't let go. What I mean by don't let go is twofold.
First, when you have a dream that's important to you, envision the emotion behind the BELIEF of getting your dream and don't let go. Notice the adjectives in the goals listed above, e.g. thriving, amazing, easy. Picture your goal and how you will feel as you start to reach them and when you reach them. Be sure to expand on this to include the trickle-down or pay-it-forward effects, i.e., the amazing positive impact on those around you by you progressing towards and reaching your dream. Examples:
An EASY 20 pounds off. Envisioning the emotion means... feeling your laughter as you try on that new dress and twirl around. Catching a glance at yourself in the mirror, with your shirt tucked in, and smiling as you notice your smaller belly. Feeling your wife's arms around you and her compliments about your new physique. Seeing your children follow your eating habits and feeling good about your influence on them. Noticing the added energy you have now without the extra cup of coffee. Realizing that your healthier choices/activities are a 'force for good' as you notice your behavior now being mimicked by friends, too.
Amazing career promotion. Seeing the paycheck increase, gives you a sense of increased security and "Yay, some play money!" Imagining the first day with your new team, and feeling relieved to see they are eager to get started and receptive to you being there. Learning from a couple employees you just met that they've heard many good things about you. Noticing how quickly and effortlessly you get up to speed in the new organization. Feeling happy that your peers are friendly, intelligent and helpful. Contributing in unique and worthwhile ways by saving the company money in your first month. Hearing a few words of appreciation by the staff about how well you preempted an internal conflict situation by setting the tone and expectation early on.
The second part of don't let go, is your unwavering commitment. You must be 100% IN. One hundred percent means it will happen. Partial commitment doesn't work! To reach something amazing requires that you do turn the handle and step through that open door into the unknown. AND that you do close the other doors that are not aligned with your new relationship, launch, promotion, lifestyle, etc.
It takes courage! You must say goodbye to the old reality -- things, people, ideas. Literally at times -- throw things out of your life that are not supportive of the new you and your goal. Protect your commitment by finding new things, people, ideas that are in synch will the new you.
The stronger your belief in your dream AND belief that you'll achieve it, the less room for doubt. The less doubt, the more action you'll take. The more action taken, the stronger your belief in success becomes.
If you find you need to amp up your commitment level, first remind yourself about the meaning of your dream and emotions of the process through achievement. Then ask yourself, "What if my life depended on it?" How would your commitment level change when the stakes are that high?!
Unwavering doesn't mean you're alone in this or imply that only those with very high belief in their abilities will be successful in reaching dreams or making a change in life. The unwavering commitment often includes positive influences and commitments from others to you, and from you to others. We all need friends or a coach who can adjust, cajole, align, re-center us when the time comes.
If you're leading a project or pursuit, or if a team or relationship goal, your 100% commitment is seen and felt by others involved. When others sense your commitment and BELIEF (whether quiet or boisterous) of SUCCESS, they nearly can't help but move with you towards the goal.
Everyone wants to be on the winning team! Everyone wants to work with the winning coach! If the coach doesn't believe in his/her players, or doesn't commit, then don't expect a good season. If the players don't believe in the coach, his/her goal, or feel a commitment to the program or title, then don't expect a good season. Additionally, how much more will the players enjoy the season, the growth, and camaraderie, when they have someone (self &/or coach) they can count on and something they believe in!
I hope this IS the season in your life for dreams to happen!

Goal Achievement Is Secretly Easy!

A lot of people believe goal achievement is really difficult. This is a completely understandable opinion to have, and one we've all held on to at some point in our lives. After all, if goal achievement were easy then we'd all have everything we've ever wanted, right? The mere fact that we struggle to grasp what we set out to accomplish seems to stand as a testament to just how difficult goal achievement really is.
And for a lot of people goal achievement really is difficult. They struggle and they strain and they work their butts off and they don't seem to move even one inch forward in their lives. For these people, which is a whole lot of people out there, accomplishing anything feel impossible.
But people don't struggle with goal achievement because it actually, objectively has to be difficult. They struggle with goal achievement because they pursue their goals with the wrong strategies, with the wrong methods.
With the right strategy, with the right method, goal achievement is not only easy- it's fun.
"Paralysis Through Analysis"
The main strategy most people undertake to achieve their goals begins with research. A whole lot of research. Too much research, in fact.
How can this be? How can you ever learn too much about something you're attempting to achieve? The more you know, the better prepared you'll be to take the steps you need to reach your goal, right?
Well, actually, no.
Don't get me wrong, a little research is necessary if you're going to achieve your goal. You need to have some idea of what you're getting yourself into. The problem most people face is researching too much and acting too little. Too much research results in stuffing your head with a bunch of methods which might be internally consistent and effective, but which seem to contradict each other, leading to a very confusing situation when it comes time to actually take action. And when you're faced with confusion, you're unlikely to act.
However, instead of getting confused some people research endlessly so they can find, or create, the "perfect" strategy for achieving their goals. These people fail because, even though they're seeking clarity, they never stop studying and start acting.
A little research is good and necessary, but action is the lever that will actually move you towards your goals, largely due to the momentum taking action, any action, creates.
Burning Out a Few Feet From the Starting Line
Of course, plenty of people take some initial actions on their goals and then quit before they reach the finish line. In fact, most people quit pretty early on when taking action towards their goals. They gather the courage necessary to step outside their comfort zone, they move forward a few feet, take a few steady steps, then turn tail and run. Why? Because they run out of the initial burst of emotional fuel propelling them past the first stumbling blocks and suddenly find the going too tough, ultimately conceding that the time just isn't right to reach this particular goal. So they give up. Sometimes until the timing seems better, sometimes forever, but either way they give up and stop moving towards their goal in the here-and-now.
All of this probably sounds all-too-familiar. Thankfully, moving towards your goals doesn't need to end in this common scene of failure.
Most people fail at achieving their goals because they rely entirely on that initial burst of emotional energy that propels them forcefully out of the gate but burns them out just as quickly. No source of emotional energy, like no gas tank, is infinitely large. All emotional energy will run out, usually sooner rather than later. Which means if you want to achieve your goals you need to run on a more reliable force than how you feel- you need to rely on momentum.
Rolling in the Right Direction

Fill a car with gas and it can only go so far before it putters out. Get a ball rolling in the right direction and it won't stop until it reaches the end of the road. Momentum trumps fuel any day of the week. Cultivate momentum towards your goal and you will reach it, as effortlessly as a rock rolling down a hill.
The key towards cultivating momentum towards your goals lies in constantly taking another step forward, no matter what. While continuously taking big steps will move you towards your goals quickly, it's better to take small steps, to keep that momentum going, then to quit because you've set too intimidating of a milestone in front of you.
As long as you keep taking steps forward, no matter how small, momentum will take over and you will reach your goal.
· Momentum is the secret of goal achievement.
· Continuously moving in the right direction is the secret of momentum.
· Knowing when to take a big step and when to give yourself an easy win is the secret of continuous movement.
Simple, right?

The Number One Trait of All Successful People

I'm sure if you've opened this article based on the title, you long to be successful at whatever it is you're doing. It doesn't have to be world-changing to thousands, but your success can change your world. We all want the change success brings to our worlds. Everyone has their own definition of success. Whatever your definition, there is one trait that all successful people share. They stay the course. When it's hard, when you're dancing to an audience of crickets, stay the course.
How to stay the course:
1. Remember past successes. You've had success at something, I'm sure of it. When was one time you did something that was hard, but you did it anyway? Sometimes we forget our past successes because the activity is second nature now. But the first time we did it, it was hard. Learning how to drive a car was a challenge. My first car was a stick shift. My dad taught me how to drive that car. After the 5th consecutive stall-out at a green light I'm sure he was questioning the wisdom in that decision (as were the cars behind us). But I eventually learned and was glad to have conquered that stick shift Chevette instead of giving up.
2. Make success - "not optional." Define success and determine in advance that you will pursue it. Quitting is not an option. Zig Ziglar once said, "When obstacles arise, you change your direction to reach your goal; you do not change your decision to get there." Just because it's hard, doesn't mean it's wrong.
3. Think of the fun. Success is fun. When I ran my first marathon I felt like a total rock star. There were crowds along the road cheering me on. People I didn't even know calling me by name and encouraging me. When I crossed that finish line I felt like there wasn't anything on earth I couldn't do. All the months leading up to that day weren't always fun. I learned though that the real success happens in between the events; when no one is watching, when no one really cares, doing whatever it takes to make the finish line happen.
Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to simply stay the course. Anything worth doing is going to be a challenge. Even the Bible tells us to, "Not grow weary in well doing for in due season you will reap a harvest if you don't give up." Stay the course!
Sometimes it takes more than yourself to stay the course. A life coach can empower, equip and inspire you to stay the course. Kaylene Mathews is the President and owner of KSMLifeCoaching LLC. Do What You Like

We all have to make a living to pay our expenses, and that may mean standing on our feet all day or slogging it out in a factory, or in retail, but this is not your true purpose, unless you are a surgeon, a doctor or a specialist of some sort. They have a very big purpose, they help people, they save lives, therefore making them a huge asset to humanity. But not everyone can be this..right? So how do we begin to contribute to a better world through that of living and working along side our true purpose?
Believe it or not there are people already who are changing the face of the world doing just this. They are doing what they like and enjoy making a living. It can't get any better than this can it? They are the people who have stepped out of their comfort zones to make it happen. There is a saying that says.. "If you keep doing the same thing as you always do, then nothing will change. Be the change you want to see in the world."
Be that person who makes the changes you want, don't wait for someone else to do it, you are that person. This is where you must leave your comfort zone - get yourself out there to be seen and heard.
You are a Leader
"Would you believe me if I told you this?" Probably not!
It seems easier to leave all that to someone else doesn't it? We are someone else, all of us are "other people." But we don't see this on a daily basis, we need to have it pointed out to us. If you have thought of an idea, or have a burning desire to accomplish something then chances are it is YOU the universe has selected! Move towards getting the right people around you and begin your journey of a lifetime to make it possible.
Most of us want BETTER! but don't know quite where to begin.
For starters, lets begin here, ask yourself what it is you would really like to do, it may be a hobby of some sort or charity work. It may be a job you have always wanted to do, or better still a business of your own.
Perhaps you have lost countless dollars on trying this & that, or been to seminars that get you all geared up to think you can retire in a year from now,, with a fast talking spiffy dressed guru standing on a platform. Yes.. I've been there too. That's what got me to this website, I have been one of those people who have thrown away countless dollars on share trading courses, and many others to say the least, all in the name of wanting to better my quality of life and have financial independence.
So what does this all have to do with what I do to live my purpose and function as a whole person.
After many so called failures..and believe me I have spent many years failing. I now see that failure is really success in disguise. If I had not attempted to keep getting up and trying and failing, I would not be here right now inspiring you to be the very best you can be in your own right...
Just so you don't need to spend half your life finding your true purpose as to why you are here, please allow me to elaborate just a little on why you and me are here.
We are all survivors, simply because we're here.. Before you existed as a human being with arms and legs you were a mega force of survival..yes you. You began as a being in an altered state..meaning a different state to what you are in now. You fought to penetrate the egg inside your mother's womb while the millions of others perished that state and returned back to the mega force or universal home.
You were the one and only out of millions of other mega forces that fought to get here. So in having explained this so far, can you begin to realize that you have come here as a survivor, we are all survivors, that's what we all have in common, therefore we are perfectly adaptable, having fought and survived to be here, we then begin to evolve from that state inside the womb, and we continue to do so outside of the womb, for many years.
This makes us very powerful critter's wouldn't you say? We all fought to come here to live our truest purpose., or we would have fallen away and perished in our earlier quest to get here. Is any of this making sense to you?...
Our soul knows its true purpose, even if we have forgotten, its only our minds that forget, the soul never forgets nor dies, its your mega force that drives you from your first point of survival.
So what does this all have to do with what I do to live my purpose and function as a whole person.
Some of us see our purpose at a young age..however its not that common. We usually allow others to use US as THEIR purpose for getting what they want.. say no more! an actual fact these types of people rarely have the true inner satisfaction of ever living their truth of soul purpose, and its quite a sad thing to witness. They are under a misconception that using others as their stepping stones to gain wealth by methods of deceit, lies and fake schemes. My life's experiences have shown these types of people up to be ones whom I pity the most, because they are poorer people having had never truly seen their true purpose in value. Take for example Adolf Hitler, I think most people know of the terrible atrocities that were implemented by this one person. He was misguided into thinking he was doing the world a favor, and he never thought once about what his truest passion may have been, he may have had that little voice within, but his greed for power and control drowned out that little voice until it was gone completely. Regardless of his crimes Hitler was a very gifted and clever man but he used his that ability for detriment. Had he known his true purpose allowing that little inner voice to become louder within - his power to live his truth would have been displayed in making the world a much better place, in saving lives instead of doing away with over six million Jewish people.
We all have an inner voice, this comes from the essence of our truest most purest self. And it is never wrong, and having free will..we can choose to drown it out with denial, or we can allow it to become loud, until we do something about it, and evolve into our essence of being our own leader and helping others to reach that point.
My inner voice was there for a very long time it became louder, in fact it was so loud I had to eventually listen, and I'm glad I did, we can either drown it out with denial or say' okay I'm listening carry on please." I'm glad I decided on the latter, I now do not deny my truth and I can speak any truth with ease and no fear of being judged for it anymore.
How do I know what my purpose is where is it how do I find out?
Stop..Listen..Go!!
Just like that, STOP! what you are thinking and listen and take notice of what you are feeling about your current situation in your life. How are you living. Ask questions and answer them yourself don't involve anyone else in this exercise, the ball is in your court. You ask the hard questions and answer them YOURSELF honestly and truthfully!
Ask yourself these questions...
Am I really where I want to be?
Am I happy?
Is there anyone suffering because of how I live my life?
Are the people I currently have around me serving me and inspiring me?
Are people draining me and sucking my energy?
What childhood dreams did I have?
What happened to those dreams..where did they vanish to?
What am I good at and what have I done in the past that has brought me enjoyment and satisfaction?
What hobby would I like to take up that gives me pleasure?
Am I doing what others expect me to do and nothing for myself?
I'm sick of my current job I wish I could make money doing something I LOVE! but how? I may not be able to make money doing what I love.
My one question to the last one to you is..why not?
Kick start Ideas:
Check to see what is happening in your local area. Your area is a goldmine for success, this is how it all began for me. I started taking FREE computer lessons at my local library and neighborhood center and now I build websites like this one, and I meet like minded people how good is that? All free. Browse through your local newspaper if you get one, there are usually classes you can attend for a minimal cost that most can afford.
Book yourself in to a class or two and do this early as depending on the type of free class it is. You'll need to be quick but the good news is that they will normally run the same classes again later in the same year. I usually book into five or more as they begin on different dates and days in the week. I have found they take smallish numbers and that means you get a lot of attention. Take along your little notepad, sometimes they supply this, but I always take my own. This not only kick starts you onto another path, but it your helping your helping your local community.
You can glean a wealth of knowledge from the places I have just mentioned, and turning them into a part or full time business of your own is something that can be done simply with almost zero start up costs, and no fuss. There is so much to choose from, and an excellent place to find your purpose. This where I found mine, and it was right under my nose all along, and after all the fancy seminars I had attended earlier, with it all ending up costing me thousands upon thousands of dollars. I learned the hard way about throwing away big money only to have it end in disillusion.
Last of all you can just take the bull by the horns, and present yourself in person and ask to see the manager. Speak confidently and act causally keen and tell him or her your willing to work for one month without pay. This way you are showing him you are not afraid of work and you are serious, he will pick up on the fact you are also reliable and steady, and you may find this is a much more exciting and more effective way to get a job.

How to Think Like a Prosperous Person This Year

An interesting thing happened in my country last year. Our economic scale took a tilt in the wrong direction. SA now has more people on social grants than earning incomes. Margaret Thatcher once said that the problem with socialism is that, eventually, you run out of other people's money to spend.
Is our thinking keeping us poor? The verse says, 'As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.' If that's true, then believing yourself to be a poor person will become a self-fulfilling prophecy. And believing yourself to be wealthy will work the same way.
I've been on both sides of the scale. I've experienced what it's like to have a local church deliver food baskets to my family, and I've experienced what it's like to take delivery of a new 5-series BMW. I recommend the latter. But I also firmly believe that the difference between wealth and poverty is not the presence or absence of coins. It's about mindset. And our national mindset needs to change. We need to stop creating dependency, and start creating entrepreneurs.
How successful is your current mindset? Here are 5 ways to think like a prosperous person this year:
1. Choose not to believe in recessions
2009 hits, and the world screams 'Recession!'
People who heard these cries and took them to heart immediately began offering excuses for not acting in money-generating ways. They sang the same song until they believed it themselves: "No one's buying; there's too much competition; there's no money available." Their self-fulfilling prophecies came true, because they ceased to act in money-generating ways. Their attitude created their reality. Every step they took (or failed to take) confirmed their original premise.
Wealthy people do not believe, for one second, that there is not enough money to be had, and consequently, they practice money-generating behavior regardless of the moods and vicissitudes of the world around them. They continue to see clients, sell products, do deals, carry out initiatives, make calls, move forward, and act and behave in ways that generate wealth, even as others throw up their hands and declare: "Times are tough."
Next time you feel that times are hard, go out onto the streets and count the Range Rovers. Then make the choice to change your beliefs.
2. Don't blame the jeans; own the bum
"The wash-machine shrank my jeans again." We've all done it - chosen to blame the jeans rather than own the expanding bum - but when we do it with our careers and financial lives, we surrender our God-given right to fight.
Jeans come in many shapes and sizes. So do the mental jeans we like to select and blame for the size of our problems: It's the economy; the old government; the new government; the state of the industry; the excellence of my competition; the area in which I live, etc, etc, etc.
Blaming the jeans doesn't help your situation. It merely burns up mental energy that you could have used on enterprising endeavors. You can spend the next thirty years blaming the jeans. And you can die in poverty. But why would you want to? Rather, choose to ruthlessly own the bum. Your success is down to you, not external scenarios. Until you take that idea to heart, you are unlikely to fight hard enough to move forward.
3. Don't fall for the finite Pool Fallacy
A great many of us believe that one person having money means another must be poor. This is the Finite Pool Fallacy, which says that there is only so much money to go around.
I don't believe it. I believe that money is a wellspring, which is constantly refreshed and regenerated through the growth of new businesses and by the rise of entrepreneurs.
Finite Pool thinking is dangerous. If we believe that there is only so much to go around, then the only way in which we will act to get money is to... ? Yes, you guessed it! To take it from others. Our government thinks this way.
In places like Korea, economic empowerment goes like this: 'We need to grow our wealth, so let's create an automobile industry and take on Europe and America!'
In South Africa, economic empowerment goes like this: 'We need to grow our wealth, so let's take it away from those who have it.'
That's very small thinking. It's the 'less for everyone' approach. I believe in wealth creation. I believe in building, growing and generating, not simply taking away from those who have.
4. Let go of the pathological need for a job
We are still telling our children that they need to grow up and get a job. Job, job, job! We are pathologically hung up on jobs. It's like we're desperate to sell our energy to make someone else rich.
Firstly, you can't manufacture jobs falsely. If they don't exist, you can't create them out of thin air. And the worst thing we can do is to invent more token jobs in already bloated government departments. But I like to ask: why on earth would you want a job anyway? Why would you want to work incredibly hard to make someone else wealthy?
Publications like Forbes, and pretty much every book ever written on becoming truly wealthy, consistently point out that it's almost impossible to become wealthy through traditional employment.
Most people are happy to trade that possibility for what they perceive as security. But is that security real? I have a friend - a director - who often says, 'My security only extends to the next 25 working days and no further.' That's how quickly work-place contracts can be terminated. And he happens to work for a bank that recently laid off thousands of people, which proves his point.
So in essence, we trade the prospect of growing our own wealth for a form of stability that is largely an illusion.
We also argue, 'Well, someone has to do the work.' True. Let me put it to you this way: Someone has to be a street-sweeper. Do you want to be that person? You can. Or you can choose a mindset that will create prosperity for your family.
5. Focus on the top-line, not the bottom line
When we discuss sound financial behavior, for businesses or families, we tend to put the emphasis on the wrong thing. We tell people that goal number one is to save. And it's a good goal, but it's not the most important goal. This is a mindset of watching the bottom line. I believe it's more important to attend to the top-line: your income.
If you are not earning enough, no amount of saving will get you through. That's why I advocate using only an incidental amount of energy toward saving. The majority of your energy should go toward generating more. That means selling, or building, or doing deals, or raising your value through further study or promotion or positioning within your market. We need to put much more emphasis on increasing income than we do on limiting expenditure.
'As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.' That's the original verse. The modern interpretation is: 'If you think it, you will become it.'
So ask yourself, at this moment in your life: Is your thinking keeping you poor?
