Believe In You
With the Christmas season approaching, I thought of all the happy families that will be gathering to share new memories with one another that will last a lifetime. For many, this is a great time of year for laughter and good cheer. For others, it will be a down time, one of discouragement and hopeless nights.
For those who are struggling right now, I wanted to offer a list of some thoughtful, soul-searching questions. Perhaps to restore some faith and confidence in yourself because after all, down deep inside I think you still believe in you!
Don't Isolate.
We are not perfect people. We all have problems that we struggle with. We've created lists of things that we love and hate to do, while we walk about with some silly habits we've picked up along the way. We are complex and have a lot of issues to work through. So find a buddy, a friend to share with because we are who we are and we need people.
Know Who You Are and What Makes You Happy
Can you describe yourself quite easily and quickly or do you need time to contemplate what you're going to say? Because describing yourself is not about your good looks but it's in knowing who it is you are and what it is that you like to do. So, describe what interests you and makes you happy. Do you make time for your hobbies or does it annoy you that you have so very little free time?
What Are You Good At?
Hopefully, you've found time to develop and explore your creative side. A little exercise can benefit the body and your mind to keep the creative juices flowing. Seriously though, finding your niche will foster confidence and give yourself a reason to be proud of ones self.
Why Are You Here?
I wonder if you have found meaning and purpose to your life. You do have value and worth, you know. Listen to your heart and pay attention to those gut feelings. If you believe in yourself and know you are loved, then you will find great satisfaction in loving others. Go meet some new people and share your ideas. Be encouraged and offer inspiration to others.
How To Believe In Yourself
In my younger days when I was carefree and discovering new lands, I thought I could do anything. I had written lots of stories in school and created bucket lists of things I wanted to do before a certain age. Some of my dreams have come true and many of my lists were unrealistic. But little by little, each and every day I've discovered improvement in my piano playing with daily discipline. The same is true with exercise and nutrition routines. Do you feel that you are really living life and experiencing it to the fullest? Are you proud of yourself? If not, then make a change today. Rediscover yourself by adding value to your life in believing in yourself.
You can maintain a healthy, positive, fulfilling approach to your piano playing. Be sure and stop by http://LadyDpiano.com and sign up for my free newsletter.

The 5 Good Questions About Self Improvement?
- What is self improvement?
- Self improvement is a choice, and we choose to change ourselves from within.
- Self improvement is to become responsible of what we do, what we have and who we are.
- Self improvement helps us to build our self esteem, our values and it takes discipline.
- Self improvement is to take the needed power and control into your own hands to create the future you want.
- Self improvement is a battle, a continuous struggle to transcend our weaknesses and limtations. It starts with knowing ourselves and having an aspiration of having a better life.
On the battle field we need to carry appropriate luggage and armor. Choose a bullet-proof armor and this is self change. Self change is about changing our attitude, our behavior and our way of thinking. - Self improvement is improvement of one's mind, character and health.
- Self improvement is not a rigid science. Many ingredients can be blended to produce a variety of self improvement dishes. Some random occurrences coming along the course of our life such as painful life (loss of job, loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, a natural disaster destroying all your possessions) or life threatening illness can be used to improve ourselves.
- Self improvement is not just improving your mindset. It also involves improving your body and physical state. The mind and body are intertwined and both affect each other. Therefore, self improvement ideas should focus on both aspects.
- Who needs self improvement ?
- What are the results of self improvement?
- What does require self improvement?
- What are the kinds of self improvement programs?
Everybody needs self improvement. Every person aspires to have a better, successful and fulfilled life. Self improvement is one of the tools that attains this goal.
Every person is unique. Each individual has thousands of facets of his life that could or need to be improved.
Every person is unique. Each individual has thousands of facets of his life that could or need to be improved.
The results of self improvement is inner stability, personal development, self confidence, self appreciation and self esteem.
Knowing that knowledge is power leads people today to increase, in secret their abilities, like acquiring better conversational skills, to get promotion. Each individual must take the reins of his future and control his destiny.
Self improvement helps people to achieve his goal or accomplish his vision.
.
It requires perseverance, patience, practice, thirst of knowledge and commitment. Just knowing what to do by reading books or attending seminar or listening to tapes will not give any results unless you choose to practice what you learn. Starting to buy or to subscribe to any self improvement program or to talk or to articulate what we should do is just the beginning but the main thing and the real test for us is to commit ourselves to practice what we preach or read.
Self improvement involved many aspects of our life such as:
- - how to boost your self confidence?
- how to get rid of depression?
- how to realize our goals?
- how to get a happy marriage?
- how to lose weight?
- how to sleep better?
- how to improve memory?
- how to get wealthy ?
- how to manage people?
- how to control anxiety attack?
- how to speak in public?
- how to be a leader?
- how to live longer?
- how to overcome fear?
- how to get charisma?
- how to eliminate bad habits?
- how to exploit your brain's unlimited power?
- how to find true happiness?
- how to organize time and space?
- how to live an abundant life?
- how to have a positive thinking?
- how to be a negotiator champion ?

Fear Doesn't Have To Be Frightening!
There are as many fears as there are people in the world. Fear of flying, fear of cats, fear of dogs. There's even a fear of Styrofoam! Fear is an emotion which discourages, hinders or stops us from living victorious lives!
That is it's only purpose. All fears wear masks. Fear doesn't want us to see its true face. If we did then it would cease to exist. Please do not confuse fear with common sense. Common sense is attained through learning. Each day we learn through trial and error.
Common sense acts like a trigger on a gun to protect us from harm.
What I am speaking of is fear of the unknown. It's a small inner voice that whispers, "what if you fail? What if you don't succeed? What if your families expectations aren't met? What if he or she isn't the right one after all?" What if? You get the picture.
Our biggest fear is failure. It's linked to embarrassment, incompetence, feelings of inferiority and inadequacy.
The opposite of fear is confidence, a feeling of accomplishment and the realization that you are enough. Fear loves to hide in our subconscious. Left to its own devices, it can build an impregnable force in our lives. Like a professional thief it steals our hopes and dreams. Fear robs us of our health, possible relationships and new experiences.
All because we fail to answer the simple question, what if? The remedy is simple. Answer the question! For example. New business ideas fail everyday, but in order to succeed we must fail! Failure is just a test of our ability to get back up again! It's the stepping stone to all learning! Below is an example of one man's desire to succeed:
>Failed in business at age 31.
>Defeated in Legislative race at age 32.
>Failed again in business at age 34.
>Overcame death of sweetheart at age 35.
>Had a nervous breakdown at age 36.
>Lost an election at age 38.
>Lost Congressional race at ages 43,46,48.
>Lost Senatorial race at age 55.
>Failed to become Vice President at age 56.
>Lost Senatorial race at age 58.
>Elected President of the United States at age 60.
This man was Abraham Lincoln. This is proof that the fear of failure is simply learning!
He realized that trying anything produces a result or outcome, not a failure. What happened when you first road a bicycle? Did you fall? I did many times! Did you say to yourself, that is the last time I'm riding a bicycle? Of course you didn't. Like protein is the building block of muscle, so failure is the main ingredient to any new task we undertake. It's a requirement for success! Expect failure to visit your marriage, business, playing a new instrument or anything that requires a heart investment. Don't set out to fail. Rather ask questions, seek advice and answer the what if's of your life! Your success is closer than you think!

7 Traits of Highly Confident People
Even though the development of our self-confidence and self-esteem are influenced by our childhood experience, it certainly does not end there. In fact, it would be a great disservice to ourselves to think that we have little or no control over such things.
A healthy level of confidence may seem like a mystery to someone who struggles with feelings of worthlessness, but anyone can make great strides in this area. Like any other life skill, there are simple, straightforward ways to recreate our perception of self-worth, and improve the way we assess our own value as a person.
Except in extreme cases, adopting new behaviors can effectively reprogram how we feel about our own abilities and personal worth. Our behavior is generally a reflection of our beliefs about who we are and what we are capable of, but this process can also run in reverse. If we want to change those beliefs, we can adopt different behaviors that will send powerful new signals to our nervous system.
The relationship between actions and beliefs
If our actions are not supported by our current beliefs then those beliefs will begin to lose their credibility. This opens the way for new beliefs that are being validated by the signals coming from our new behaviors.
While it may sound somewhat complicated, it is actually very simple to do, and the benefits can be felt almost instantly. It really comes down to this; when you talk and behave like someone with confidence, you feel more confident. As you continue to feel more confident, your perception of “self” changes, and perception is where beliefs come from.
With that in mind, let’s consider seven behaviors that can help increase your sense of confidence and self-esteem. We should also note that motivation is closely linked confidence. So as your confidence grows, so will your ability to motivate yourself.
You may already be doing some of these steps, and that’s great. If so, then this will serve as a valuable reminder, but if not, I suggest you begin ASAP.
7 behaviors that build confidence
1. Project confidence and self-esteem. You know the old saying, “you only have one chance to make a first impression.” That is a good reason to look others directly in the eye and greet them with a smile on your face. Direct eye contact and a smile project a sense of self-confidence. In addition, your posture, bearing, gestures, and gate, tell others (and your own nervous system) that you are a confident person. Body language is a much more powerful way of communicating confidence than anything you have to say.
2. Use your words to reinforce your confident image. When you meet someone new, whether in person or over the phone, always give them your name. Leading with a personal introduction underscores the feeling that you respect yourself, and that they should pay attention to what you have to say.
3. Be willing to accept a compliment. Don’t minimize expressions of honor from others. Instead of trying to sidestep a compliment, be gracious and appreciative. Giving plays an important role in life, but so does the ability to allow yourself to receive. Being able to accept form others provides them with an opportunity to experience the joy of giving. It’s a sign of solid self-esteem to be able to show genuine appreciation for a gift or complement.
4. Avoid self-promotion. Bragging comes from a lack of self-confidence and a desire for external approval. Conversely, genuine modesty is a characteristic of someone who is secure with who they are. People who brag are calling attention to themselves because they don’t feel worthy of respect. It’s like wearing a sign that says “please notice me and tell me that I am special?”
5. Keep the conversation positive. Avoid turning your problems into everyone else’s problems. Do this by not making problems the centerpiece of your conversation. Talk positively about your life and the lives of those around you. Train yourself to be aware of, and to move away from, negative thinking. Take notice of how often you complain and work to eliminate that tendency. When you are tempted to criticize or complain, find a way to turn your thoughts in a positive direction before you speak.
6. Counter doubt with positive action. Everyone’s confidence gets rocked from time to time. Dwelling on difficulties and disappointments will only make matters worse. The best antidote for doubt is to increase your level of productive activity. When your self-confidence is under fire, don’t sit around over analyzing the situation, do something. When you are busy taking action, your mind will be focused on solutions instead of problems. Maybe you can’t solve the problem immediately, but you can start working on it immediately instead of just thinking about it.
7. See everything as an opportunity. When you choose to see setbacks as opportunities your whole perspective shifts toward the positive. In its self, the ability to create this shift instills confidence. I like the saying from the movie The Ultimate Gift, “I’ve lost everything 3 or 4 times, it’s the perfect place to start.“ Everyone fails to produce their intended result sometimes, that’s how we know that it’s time to adjust our course. It is not a reflection of our value as a person, so don’t take it personally or let it rattle your self-esteem. If you feel that tendency, go for a walk and practice steps 1 and 2. Going through the actions will help restore your internal feelings of confidence.
