Why Nick Vujicic Quotes Are Changing The World

His quotes and sayings are seen everywhere from Tumblr to motivational wallpaper - Nicholas James "Nick" Vujicic is a source of inspiration to a wide group of people. Today, he is known to the world for his YouTube videos, the movie The Butterfly Circus, his music video Something More, his motivational books, and for the motivational speeches he delivers. Nick V is quoted are all over the internet.
Mr. Vujicic was born with none of the four limbs. In spite of his condition, he learned to appreciate the beauty of life at 17. Although he was mentally fit, because of his physical disability, he was not allowed to attend regular schools. Later when the laws were changed, he was one of the first disabled children who studied in mainstream schools. There, Nick was bullied by other kids as he struggled to find his way. He planned suicide several times, but thankfully never went through with it. The love he received from his parents, and his belief for God, made him stronger.
Some inspiring words by Nick Vujicic are: "Sometimes you may feel like you are just about to realize your goal only to fall short. That is no reason to quit. Defeat happens only to those who refuse to try again." This Nick Vujicic quote basically encourages people to never give up. He says here that only those who stop trying lose.
The popular Australian speaker followed his own words of wisdom, and began to look at life from a different vantage point whenever he felt troubled. When he realized he was not the only one who struggled, he began to accept it. He tried completing most of his daily tasks by himself. He not only taught himself regular things like writing, answering phone calls, shaving, combing, and brushing his hair, but also learned to throw tennis balls and play the drums.
James started to deliver speeches in prayer groups when he was only seventeen. Soon after that, he started "Life without Limbs," his own non-profit organization. Through this organization, he inspired people from all around the world. He talked to them about hope and finding meaning in life. Mostly, he delivered encouragement on life with a disability.
He married his fiance Kanae Miyahara in 2012, and continues to prove to the world that a disability is not a hindrance. This Vujicic quotes sums up his life best: "If you believe in God, you can overcome problems of any sort."

Leadership - Becoming A Better Leader

Leadership involves understanding how to inspire, influence and control how people behave. This book will help you to understand how to become a great leader and affect those around you for the good of the organisation.

Napoleon once said: “One bad general does better than two good ones.” It takes a moment for the sense of this to register, but it is the same as our modern saying that “too many cooks spoil the broth”. Having one set of instructions, even if they are flawed, is preferable to having two sets of perfect directions that, when enacted together without reference to each other, cause havoc.

This is the principle of leadership in a nutshell. It is all about maintaining focus and creating positive outcomes.

The same can be applied to individuals who strive to become leaders. There needs to be focus and determination. Advice can be given, but does not have to be heeded. History is full of leaders whose beginnings were disastrous, and had they listened to the naysayers of this world, the world would be a poorer place today.

Leadership can be learned. Some people are certainly born with leadership skills, but this is not a prerequisite for becoming a leader. More important is dedication to the art of leadership. Leadership involves understanding how to inspire, influence and control how people behave. It is not a simple matter of shouting, or having a deep and booming voice; or being great in physical stature; Gandhi possessed none of these attributes, but managed to lead a nation and inspire millions around the world.

Sometimes, leadership may be no more than having a poignant message for a receptive audience at an opportune moment. Of itself, leadership is neither good nor bad; the world has known more than its fair share of evil and charismatic dictators.

Positive Affirmations Can Help You Become Less Defensive

Have you ever been having a chat with someone and they say something that triggers a very defensive remark from you? I'm sure we have all done this at some time. Some do it more than others. Then that friend looks puzzled. These are often called triggers to negative affirmations that we have developed over time and we do this often as a survival mechanism. Affirmations are words or thoughts that create a belief system deep within our subconscious that we feel are crucial to our survival. It's known as a conditioned response. That belief system is not always a true representation of the world around us. It develops from: positive and negative life experiences; parents; teachers; peers; the TV and the media. Prejudice is probably the most extreme negative response example.
So how does a negative response to a positive thought such as "I am a good person" affect us in life? The first thing we need to do is understand what those bad thoughts are such as "I'm a bad person" and why they became triggers for us. These affirmations can work in our best interest or they can work against us. Imagine being in an interview and the interviewer asks how did you handle a difficult situation. "Well, I walked away and sent someone else to deal with it as I have a serious issue with confrontation. It's because my mum and dad argued all the time. It scared me." "Oh so you would not be able to do the job if faced with a difficult situation." Now I'm not saying that is exactly what you might say in an interview. It could develop an uncomfortable feeling within you and your reply of dealing with a difficult situation may not sound so congruent. You will want to respond with confidence and a sincere reply. We do not always voice the automatic response from our subconscious. However, it's there knocking on the door changing the way you say something, how you come across to others and it could show in your body language.
How do you use affirmations and what can you expect to happen? Well, I really enjoy searching for affirmations, motivational and inspirational quotes on the internet in the morning to post on any Social Media sites. Its' good to see it in black and white, which makes me feel pretty good. Then other people like my affirmations or quotes and that just doubles the happy sensation for me. This is having a positive response to positive affirmations, which has been accepted by my subconscious. The positive response to "I'm a good person" is feeling I am a good person. I feel good.
So what happens when you have a negative response to a positive affirmation? A negative response to "I'm a good person" will not feel very nice. Your subconscious may be fighting back and letting you know it feels threatened. Over the years of working with people with addiction, I've noticed how they are full of feelings of wanting to really change and even after detoxification, they go back to their addictive behaviour. Then they are miserable again. The happiness is fleeting. Even though it's bad to misuse alcohol and the person knows this; the subconscious believes that this is important to survival. It's dysfunctional thinking. Many people will challenge this and make the changes in their lives that they want no matter what negative feelings they are receiving from within. In the case of addiction I recommend medical assistance. However, dealing with the mental challenges is an excellent way to fight back against this faulty thinking.
I know it takes a lot of time and energy to re-examine your belief system. That's how affirmations can help. Think of it in simple terms. If you find a positive affirmation that, when said out loud, makes you feel good, your subconscious is accepting it as true. When your positive affirmation triggers a negative response, then you know that this may need to be challenged.
How can you challenge these negative responses? Just follow these 3 tips and turn those responses in to positive ones. This is the time to change and challenge any defensive responses you are experiencing. Life could be a lot more fun and your social relationships will benefit enormously from it. So here they are:
  1. Find a positive quotation or affirmation that looks good to you, and then try it out. "I look fabulous." Replace this with something you would like to change about yourself. Say it every morning and just note how you feel when you say it. If it's a great feeling then you are accepting you look fabulous. If it's bad feeling, then challenge it.

  2. Challenging negative responses to positive affirmations. It's simple: just keep doing it until the feeling becomes a positive response. It will happen eventually. Repetition is a very powerful tool for most things including changing your mindset. Things take time and I know we want an instant result but changing belief systems takes time. It'll all be worth it.

  3. If you are feeling strong negative emotions. I recommend that you seek professional help, which can help you to decide how to begin to heal within.
I'm feeling very excited for you that you are embarking on a journey that will help you to begin to respond in a positive way and not have your day ruined by those unpleasant feelings. A positive affirmation for you: "I believe in myself." Say it out loud and see how wonderful you will feel in time.

***8 Ways to Move from Stuck to A Creative Genius

No matter how much we enjoy what we are doing in our life and in our business, there are times when we all find ourselves in need of a creativity jump-start. As many of you know, I'm working on a book to be released this Fall. I greatly enjoy the topic and the writing process, however there are days that I find myself, simply put, feeling stuck.
The other day I shared with you how bringing your uniqueness into everything you do can help you get "unstuck." Here is a list of other tactics that you can use when you simply need a little creative jump-start.
1. Bring an object of beauty into the room in which you are trying to be creative that inspires you. Choose an object of art or flowers that you find inspiring.
2. If you are trying to jump start writing or painting a picture, look outside at the landscape or some bright colors to shift your energy and focus.
3. Read words of inspiration. Find your favorite book that inspires you and open it to a random page. Before you do this, ask for guidance and whatever you need to hear for the day.
4. Look at what you’re working on upside down. A new, fresh perspective can get your mind going. So, turn your paper, notebook or picture sideways or upside down and see what new things you notice and what ideas pop forth.
5. Try using your non-dominant hand. When you try to use your non-dominant hand, it engages the other side of your brain and sparks start to fly!
6. Get up and move, stretch, take a walk. Exercise of any kind stimulates the right and left hemispheres of our brain and helps increase our focus and creativity.
7. Be silent. First you might need to allow your chatty mind to wind down. Sometimes the simple act of first making a to-do list helps the mind and nervous system wind down. Then sitting in some type of silence and meditation helps reach that deeper place and stimulates creativity.
8. Dig deep inside yourself and think about what are you passionate about right now. What is your impulse? What is your driving force? What must be said? What are you aching to say or do? What wants to spring forth? Just start writing your ideas and thoughts. Don't try to formulate sentences or paragraphs or worry about punctuation. Just let the ideas flow freely from you. The simple act of not being confined by writing standards can allow many ideas to spring forward.

Leave a comment and let me know what works for you! It may very well help others as well!
