The 11 Forgotten Laws - Bob Proctor

Stop Begging! Start Manifesting

by <> Gareth John
Do you remember that first spark of hope you felt when you watched The Secret? I clearly remember the desire that filled my heart, knowing that – Yes, I can make my dreams come true – FINALLY!
But how many of you soon saw that hope dwindle into frustration? How many of you (and be honest now) started muttering things like:
- “It seems to work for other people, but I just can’t get it right.”
- “I’m frustrated that sometimes I can get it to work, but sometimes I can’t. What’s the trick?”
- “Why am I having so much trouble?”
- “I think the universe is against me.”
- “I’m trying very, VERY hard but still nothing is happening!”
Don’t worry, you’re not alone. About 97% of people also couldn’t make the Law of Attraction work for them the first time round. Think about it, just like anything else, you have to practice many times before you see success. A child doesn’t learn to walk without falling over a couple of times, right?
But in practice, everything is easier said and done. When you’re frustrated, it’s hard to stay positive. And it’s especially harder to stay positive when the evidence all around you is screams negativity like the unstable economy or senseless acts of violence such as those recently seen in Mumbai.
And do you know what happens when you fail to stay positive? That’s right – you start attracting negative things in to your life.
So how can you make the Law of Attraction work for you – without getting frustrated? How do those who successfully implement the Law of Attraction do it with such confidence and finesse?
Well, here’s three quick tips so you will never feel frustrated or tired of begging from the universe, because you know how to start manifesting like a pro.
1. Allow Yourself To Receive
Just like a lost child who approaches a police officer and asks, “Excuse me Sir, can you tell me how to go to the post office? Can you? Can you? Can you? Can you? Can you?” Well, if the child goes on and on asking, the police officer can’t even give an answer, right?
Well, it’s the same thing with your mind. If the only thing your mind is doing is transmit, transmit, transmit, the universe — which is trying to respond — can’t give you a single thing because you’re not allowing yourself to receive!
So, have the confidence in yourself and stop exhausting yourself by running around person to person begging for riches, and then wondering why nobody is dropping a penny in your cup (Hint: It’s because you’re running away too fast for them before they can even reach for their wallets).
Just think of your desires and leave it out there, go away, and trust that your cup will be filled with gold coins (or whatever it is you asked for) when the time is right.

2. Be Patient With Yourself
Receiving takes time.
Sadly, many people give up just a couple of steps before the finish line because they’ve decided that if it’s not working by now, it’s never going to work at all. Worse still are those who throw in more and more energy because they think that with more resources, the results will come faster.
This is like expecting 9 mothers to conceive and deliver a baby in 1 month. You also can’t bake cookies in half the time by doubling the temperature. You’ll incinerate those cookies to ashes!
In simple terms: Everything in this world has a natural development time, and this fact will not change no matter what resources you throw at it.
So relax and be patient. Remember that you too, as part of the universe, are also governed by the laws of the universe, and you cannot change the natural development time.
If you remember this, you will less likely work yourself up into frustration, or worse, push yourself into a downward spiral of negativity.
3. Support and Educate Yourself
Like the child who is learning how to walk, you need support. You also need to guidance on how to do it, and also the role models to look up to.
Many people give up because they think that “The Secret” is the “be all and end all” solution. Well, it’s NOT. “The Secret” is just a small portion. It was never intended, and has never been, the whole answer.
Coming to the conclusion that the Law of Attraction doesn’t work when all you ever did to educate yourself was watch “The Secret” 19 times (without looking at changing the habits of other areas of your life) is like coming to the conclusion that exercising is not an effective way to lose weight because all you did is run on the treadmill for 2 hours a day (but you’re still stuffing yourself with fried foods and cheesecakes).
So seek and be hungry for new knowledge. Also, make an effort to be amongst people or communities where you can support each other, learn from each other and also share new knowledge that you have found.
While the Law of Attraction is not an overnight delivery service, it will indeed deliver, if you do your part too!

How to Create a New Self Image That Supports You

How your self image affects you, your decisions and actions unconsciously.................

Have you noticed that there are people who seem to get all the breaks without putting any effort into anything and there are people who work so hard and always fall short of their goal?

Sometimes you look at a person and you think they have perfect ideal look or talents to be someone special, but then you see someone who you wouldn't give them a second look or even take them serious, but it is the second person who ends up becoming the most successful while the first person is just average and ordinary.

Why is that? What makes some people stand out when everything is against them to succeed then the one with all the opportunities let it slip through their fingers?

Give Me Liberty (From Fear of Failure) Or Give Me Death (Complacency)!

For many, the mere thought of failing an undertaking is almost worse than death. It can be emotionally painful and possibly costly, depending on your venture. It can also cause lingering feelings of guilt because you sacrificed your time spent with your family, friends, and hobbies to go after what turned out to be a losing cause. Whether you started a new business, sought a new position at another company, or attempted to write the next best-selling book, your dream was derailed and now you're back on square one.
While it's not a pleasant scenario to go through, you lived through it to see another day. As Benjamin Disraeli once said "I have begun several times many things, and I have often succeeded at last." As long as you're alive, you have the ability to reach any goals that you truly desire, and now you have a bit more wisdom to help you on your next quest.
With that being said, I believe that there are two other possibilities that are worse than failure. They can keep your real desires buried in the back of your mind. They can keep you bound in the chains of inferiority. They can haunt you with thoughts of "I should've... ", "I could've... ", or "I wish I had done... " for the rest of your life.
The two spirit robbing human frailties are never trying and mediocrity.
Never trying to reach your loftier goals means that you simply sit in your current situation and let your thoughts fester. You don't know if your idea or heart's desire is a life changer for you, your family, or to thousands of people you don't know.
You'll never see the results of your work, or know the edification to your life, and to the lives of those around you, with regards to your physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional well-being. You'll never inspire those that were waiting to have your product, see your art, or to hear your message. Sitting back and never trying to go for more in your life is the "safe" thing to do because, as we all know, you can't get hurt if you don't stick your neck out (written with tongue firmly in cheek). You'll never worry about failing because you can't possibly fail if you never try.
Complacency is bliss.
Mediocrity can be especially hideous because it lulls you into a false state of contentment. You may be comfortable with your work and lifestyle. You're not at the top of your game, but you're certainly not on the bottom of the heap. You could do a bit more, but why bother? "That's too much work. No one would notice anyway."
It's those thoughts and feelings that are associated with mediocrity that keeps you from achieving your level of greatness. Mediocrity is like treading water; you won't drown, but you're not going anywhere either. As with never trying, mediocrity allows you the luxury of not failing. You'll stay safely in the middle of the pack and never have to worry about failing. You're perfectly insulated from all that's happening at the edges of the pack.
However, if you're not careful, you can be swept away by a strong tide of changing attitudes and environmental factors to a place you'd like to avoid. You may find that your safety net of middle-of-the-pack mediocrity has broken and you'll be there all alone, with no place to hide.
Is that what you really want for your legacy?
If you want to avoid these two situations, you'll need to embrace the possibility of failure, or at least become reasonably comfortable with the thought of not succeeding.
Here are four steps to help you adjust your mindset and embrace potential failure -
1. Ask yourself "What's the worst thing that can happen to you if you follow this course of action?"
If the answer isn't death or bankruptcy, then there's a good chance that you'll survive any potential misfortune. Is there a chance that you may have setbacks along the way? Absolutely, but anyone that has achieved a level of greatness in their field has had to deal with adversity from time to time. The difference between them and the rest is that they didn't let their missteps keep them down permanently. When mistakes were made, they minimized the damage, corrected the error, and kept moving forward. You can do the same.
2. Do your research to formulate a sound success plan.
This is an essential step in any endeavor. You need to know the potential risks and the eventual rewards of your venture. Keep in mind that nothing of substance has ever been accomplished without taking on some risk. It's your mission to know the hazards, and to make contingency plans for the pitfalls that may occur.
Once you've made your plan, plot your course of actions with milestones to mark your progress. They'll help you stay on track and keep your destination in sight.
3. Avoid "paralysis by analysis".
While it's great to go into a venture with information, you can easily fall into a state of do-nothingness because you believe you don't have enough data, or haven't performed enough studies to take action. This is just a more engaged form of never trying. At some point, you've got to shove off and get going.
To avoid this very real affliction, gather and study the information from your research, then talk to those that have been where you'd like to go, or doing what you'd like to do. This is much easier now with so many social media outlets to make connections. Take advantage of this great opportunity to get real life knowledge from the experiences of those in the know.
4. Confront the fear of failure by taking action.
Nothing beats back the fear of failure like taking action and moving toward your destination. Once you start moving toward your goal, the possibility of failure gradually diminishes until you reach your point where your personal fear of failure has been outweighed by your progress and increasing confidence.
There isn't a person alive that hasn't had to deal with failure. This includes those that never tried to stretch their boundaries, and those that crave the imagined safety of mediocrity. If you're to achieve the greatness within you, you must embrace the fear of failure.
Will it be better than never trying or staying in a perpetual state of mediocrity? Ask the person you see in the mirror that question. They'll have your answer.
Why are you putting up with mediocrity? Is life passing you by? Are you doing what you really want to do? Have your vibrant dreams faded to only a flicker? Can you truly say that you're ready to make significant changes to get your life to the place where you are the "star"? Are you "coach-able"?

Creating Wealth Is Easier Than It Sounds

Practice. It's the magic that makes success possible.
Any person with a skill that others may consider to be amazing, got that way because of the many hours, days, weeks, and years they spent practicing - usually behind closed doors when nobody was watching.
Nobody becomes great at anything without a lot of practice.
Let's assume that you hold a vision of yourself as being a successful business owner. In your vision you see yourself sitting pretty and your business is running really well and life just could not be any better. Great!
That's a fabulous vision to hold, but how do you get there when you're life doesn't look anything like the vision you wish it could be?
Will it happen by accident? It could,in theory, but the odds are heavily stacked against you!
The strategy that works best and the one that is the most reliable of all, and is the one most people prefer to skip is; practice.
Now I realize that many of us had to practice things we simply didn't enjoy as kid, such as taking piano lessons. I doubt I had a single friend who enjoyed those lessons, and that could be why so many adults simply don't enjoy any form of practice today.
But practice can be fun, should be fun, and it should be something you look forward to doing every single day!
And honestly, other than having great luck, I simply can't point to any other strategy that works consistently, reliably, and produces more success stories than practicing every single day!
So let's get practical here. I know that you would love to be wealthier than you are right now. It's a great goal and one that is attainable by anybody willing to practice.
Most every person I meet at my seminars, in my office, or even on the street falls into this category. They have the dream, but never seem to make any progress on making it a reality.
When you look a little closer, you will notice that these very same people NEVER practice their skills in the area of creating wealth. They talk about it, they complain that they are not wealthy, and they may even feel a certain unfairness towards people who have become wealthy.
The result is that they will never progress, their lives will not improve, and in fact, their distress will only increase as they get older and their ability to earn money comes to a halt.
There is a better solution!
Being able to create wealth is a skill that MUST be practiced and perfected every single day. While many might believe that wealthy people are lucky, it's really skill that takes a person from rags to riches. It's a skill that is practiced and perfected, often over a period of years that creates the success most people crave.
To become great at anything, you have to do it again and again, you have to make the mistakes, learn from them, and keep perfecting your skills even when you think you're at the top of your game, you should know that there is always another level.
So what should you be focused on in order to practice your wealth-building skills?
Start with how you define wealth because it's different for everybody. What is YOUR definition of wealth?
Once you have an idea of what being wealthy means to you, spend some time thinking about your skills, what value you can bring to the marketplace, and try to map out a path that you believe will get you to where you want to be in life.
Be flexible, as your plans will change as you learn and perfect your skills along the way. And always remember that the path you find that leads you to creating wealth will be uniquely yours.
We are, after all, individuals with beliefs, skills, and life experiences unlike anybody else in the entire world, so it only makes sense that how you get there is going to be unique in nature.
Now getting yourself into the habit of practicing is the where you'll invest most of your time and the best strategy that I have ever found is being able to "stay in the conversation" of wealth creation as much as you possibly can. In other words, if you want something, you become good at it by thinking about it, reading about, talking with others about it, trying your hand it, and being involved in it as many waking hours as is possible.
This process is commonly called immersion and it's a critical piece of the wealth creation puzzle. You do not get good at something if you just dabble a little here and there. Dabblers never become great at anything. People who are focused on a goal and commit to practicing their skills often find success that even surprises them.
You want to be "all in" and you want to be sure that you're well- read, that you have surrounded yourself with people you can brain-storm with who will be supportive of you and not critical of you, and you want to be sure that you're in the game rather than watching from the sidelines.
When you do these things, and they are not hard to do, but they do require a commitment from you, you will see definite, measurable changes in your level of wealth. It may happen fast, it may take a while, but it will happen because that is the only true outcome for somebody who is dedicated to the cause!
Here's an example of this from my own life. A few years back I got the idea that I wanted to lose some weight. I knew that in order for that to happen that I had to become totally committed to the process. That meant that every bite of food had to be in alignment with losing weight. No cheating!
I began the process by learning about how I could improve my diet and food choices. Cooking was never a skill of mine so I needed strategies for preparing meals that I could do, and that I would do. Once I had that information, I next needed to make a commitment to making the kinds of changes that I needed to make in order to get my weight down.
I found a few people who were also looking for the same kinds of results, and I spent time with them as often as I could. We would check in with each other at least once a week and encourage each other to keep at it. This will prove to be very valuable for you too.
I remember that first week and how tough it really was for me. Eating in a new way, eating less, and eating foods that were a little foreign to me. But through practice, and doing it every day, I got better and better over time.
When I was eating out, I knew what I could order, what I should not order, and I asked my friends never to judge me by what they saw or didn't see on my plate and that I would give them the same respect in return.
It didn't take very long before I started seeing results. Five pounds gone inside of week, then ten, then twenty-five. Ultimately, I knocked off 63 pounds in about 6 months time, which was a complete and total surprise to me that I could drop that amount of weight using the knowledge I had gained.
I became a master at eating well and I got there by sticking to my plan, learning more and more as I went, and constantly refining what I was doing.
If you think that creating wealth is more complicated than losing weight, I'd like to tell you that for most people losing weight is infinitely more complex than creating wealth ever could be.
Now that you know what to do, it's time to create a plan and start doing it!
I look forward to seeing you on top of your game enjoying the life you were meant to live!

Belief: The Quiet and Unyielding Power Behind Achieving Dreams

Who would you rather work for -- A boss who believed in you or a boss who didn't?
What attitude would you rather have -- Feeling eager for the day to start and believing that your steps bring you closer to [fill in blank]? Or waking up not really interested in what you're doing for the day not believing that what you do really matters to anyone?
How would you like to live your life -- As one who dreams and achieves them, e.g. having a family, losing weight, or new job? Or one who starts to pursue dreams and then doubts, stalls, or turns away when the ups and downs of "life happens"?
No matter your age, title, or economic situation, I've seen people turn their life, careers and relationships around, entirely, by believing! When you believe, not only does your mindset change, the environment around you also changes. Your personal conviction and progress towards your own dreams/goals, can have an enormous impact on other people's attitudes, determination, and fire in their hearts!
Unfortunately I've spoken to quite a few individuals who have quit dreaming about the things they want, because they've tried hard for so long and have given up. "Dreaming is for young people" states a person in his 40's. "My life is comfortable now; no need to upset the apple cart by adding something new." "It's just going to hurt, cost money, or I'll fail." "I may have to give up something I like or am used to, and I don't know if the new thing will be better, so why bother?"
We all have dreams... where are yours? Are they still alive and kickin' or did you bury them someplace? Having belief in your dreams and in your own potential to be successful is SO important for an energized life.
So, what's the secret to belief? Do you just count to 10 and make yourself believe that you're capable?
You have dreams. Imagine it. Imagine your goal. Thriving relationship. Successful product launch. Amazing career promotion. An easy 20 pounds off.
What's the secret to dreaming and believing you can achieve them? You grab on to it AND don't let go. What I mean by don't let go is twofold.
First, when you have a dream that's important to you, envision the emotion behind the BELIEF of getting your dream and don't let go. Notice the adjectives in the goals listed above, e.g. thriving, amazing, easy. Picture your goal and how you will feel as you start to reach them and when you reach them. Be sure to expand on this to include the trickle-down or pay-it-forward effects, i.e., the amazing positive impact on those around you by you progressing towards and reaching your dream. Examples:
An EASY 20 pounds off. Envisioning the emotion means... feeling your laughter as you try on that new dress and twirl around. Catching a glance at yourself in the mirror, with your shirt tucked in, and smiling as you notice your smaller belly. Feeling your wife's arms around you and her compliments about your new physique. Seeing your children follow your eating habits and feeling good about your influence on them. Noticing the added energy you have now without the extra cup of coffee. Realizing that your healthier choices/activities are a 'force for good' as you notice your behavior now being mimicked by friends, too.
Amazing career promotion. Seeing the paycheck increase, gives you a sense of increased security and "Yay, some play money!" Imagining the first day with your new team, and feeling relieved to see they are eager to get started and receptive to you being there. Learning from a couple employees you just met that they've heard many good things about you. Noticing how quickly and effortlessly you get up to speed in the new organization. Feeling happy that your peers are friendly, intelligent and helpful. Contributing in unique and worthwhile ways by saving the company money in your first month. Hearing a few words of appreciation by the staff about how well you preempted an internal conflict situation by setting the tone and expectation early on.
The second part of don't let go, is your unwavering commitment. You must be 100% IN. One hundred percent means it will happen. Partial commitment doesn't work! To reach something amazing requires that you do turn the handle and step through that open door into the unknown. AND that you do close the other doors that are not aligned with your new relationship, launch, promotion, lifestyle, etc.
It takes courage! You must say goodbye to the old reality -- things, people, ideas. Literally at times -- throw things out of your life that are not supportive of the new you and your goal. Protect your commitment by finding new things, people, ideas that are in synch will the new you.
The stronger your belief in your dream AND belief that you'll achieve it, the less room for doubt. The less doubt, the more action you'll take. The more action taken, the stronger your belief in success becomes.
If you find you need to amp up your commitment level, first remind yourself about the meaning of your dream and emotions of the process through achievement. Then ask yourself, "What if my life depended on it?" How would your commitment level change when the stakes are that high?!
Unwavering doesn't mean you're alone in this or imply that only those with very high belief in their abilities will be successful in reaching dreams or making a change in life. The unwavering commitment often includes positive influences and commitments from others to you, and from you to others. We all need friends or a coach who can adjust, cajole, align, re-center us when the time comes.
If you're leading a project or pursuit, or if a team or relationship goal, your 100% commitment is seen and felt by others involved. When others sense your commitment and BELIEF (whether quiet or boisterous) of SUCCESS, they nearly can't help but move with you towards the goal.
Everyone wants to be on the winning team! Everyone wants to work with the winning coach! If the coach doesn't believe in his/her players, or doesn't commit, then don't expect a good season. If the players don't believe in the coach, his/her goal, or feel a commitment to the program or title, then don't expect a good season. Additionally, how much more will the players enjoy the season, the growth, and camaraderie, when they have someone (self &/or coach) they can count on and something they believe in!
I hope this IS the season in your life for dreams to happen!
